Historical Profile: Henry Cabot Lodge

Boston, MA. - Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr. (May 12, 1850 - November 9, 1924) was an American historian and politician from Massachusetts. During his time as an elected official, Lodge served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, U.S. Congress, and he also served as a U.S. Senator from 1893 until his death in 1924.

There is a statue dedicated to Lodge outside of the Massachusetts State House. There is an inscription on the bottom of the statue which reads: "To Henry Cabot Lodge: 1850 - 1924, statesman and scholar, whose leadership was of lasting service to his countrymen." There is also a bust of Henry Cabot Lodge inside of the Massachusetts State House.
